Snowflakes emerging from darkest skies
Their slow descending dance enchanting
Their pure, white unconditional grace
Gifted to wide upward looking eyes
Tickling my lashes and fingertips
I capsuled their beauty in time you see
Something inside just felt so very right
I imagined them to be little souls
Twirling through the night to check on us
To look after our sorrows
To enchant us with their beauty
If just for a second.
I like that thought!

So beautiful. The words you have chosen really evoke the delicate and fragile transience of snowflakes. I don’t have snow where I live, but love this feeling fo snowflakes – and it is just as you describe. They are soulful, just like your poem. How nice to think that they are looking out for us.

Thank you so much! ππ» I live in Upstate New York and right now we still get snow storms. I love the snow. It makes everything silent, and slows the world down. βΊοΈ

That aspect appeals to me. There is a hush to snowy days.
